What is a Classic Movie? |
What makes a movie a Classic? Is it the actors, plot, or how many quotes you can remember?
When I put titles on my Classic Movie List I generally think of a couple things...
If it was a Comedy:
Were the actors very funny? How much did they make you laugh?
How many funny quotes could you remember afterwards?
And how long after did you keep laughing to yourself about what you could remember?
And finally in the future, would it still be funny if you watched it AGAIN AND AGAIN? Very important
*PLOT is important, but not that much in comedies.
Action:
Ok, Plot a little more important in Action Movies.
Was the Plot straight forward and not too ridiculous?
Acting is pretty important. Did the actors Over-Act? (this happens a lot and ruins it)
Less talking is usually better.
Did the Action sequences go to far beyond reality?
How many cool scenes were there? (Fights, explosions, gun fights, etc.)
And how long did you talk about the cool stuff afterwards with friends?
*One liners...gotta love e'm.
Drama:
Ok, Plot is extremely important in Dramas.
Again, did the Plot go too far?
The Plot will tend to get complicated. Was it just too confusing?
Acting is very important in Dramas.
Did the actors over-act?
Do you remember yourself leaning towards the T.V. at certain parts?
*If you talked a lot during the flick then it wasn't any good.
